I’m Åge Peterson, an illustrator based in Bergen, Norway. My main focus is on editorial illustration, but I also do other types of commissioned illustration, self-initiated artwork and comics. If you have a commissioned project in mind, please feel free to write me an e-mail. I have a bachelor and master degree (2006–2011) in visual communication from Bergen Academy of Art and Design (now part of KMD, University of Bergen). I’m a member of Grafill and Tegnerforbundet and have two ongoing engagements as a board member; in the Grafill scholarship committee, and as a deputy member at Kulturdirektoratet (Arts and Culture Norway) in the section concerning picture books. I also do academic work for various art schools in Norway, most recently as a master exam censor at Oslo National Academy of the Arts in the department of graphic design and illustration. I’ve received 10 illustration gold awards and 11 diplomas from the visual communication competition, Visuelt.
