Visnes Gruveområde 150 år

A series of six portraits (and logo) done for Visnes Gruvemuseum, on the occasion of the mining facility celebrating their 150 year anniversary. An important part of norwegian industrial culture, and most famous for being the source of copper for The Statue of Liberty in New York. The portraits depict «typical characters» from different periods since the middle of the 19th century. With the exception of The Statue of Liberty and Charles DeFrance (founder), their features are all based on imagination and bits of reference photos.

The portraits are drawn with pencil on paper with no use of lightbox tracing.  Logo is handwritten with ink and brush and later vectorized.
